At Boat Miami Rental, we are committed to providing you with the best boating experience possible. To ensure everything runs smoothly, we have outlined our key policies and frequently asked questions below. Please review these carefully before booking your charter.

How do I book a charter?To book a charter with Boat Miami Rental, simply fill our the form on our booking page. Once you submit your form, we will contact you as soon as possible to confirm all of the details. Once confirmed, a 50% deposit is required to secure your booking.

What is a bareboat charter?A bareboat charter is when you rent a boat and take full responsibility for its operation. This requires a legal agreement transferring control of the vessel to you and meeting specific bareboat charter requirements.

Which payment methods do you accept?We accept deposits via Zelle, Cash App, wire transfer, Venmo, PayPal, Apple Pay, and cryptocurrency. The remaining 50% is due on the day of the charter.

How many guests can I bring on board?You may bring up to 12 guests in addition to yourself. This limit does not include any onboard entertainment, caterers, bartenders, charter employees, staff, or vendors working for the charterer during the charter. If you have more than 12 guests, we can arrange for two or more of our boats to go out at the same time and anchor next to one another, providing a shared experience across multiple vessels.

Are children allowed on board?Absolutely! Children are welcome and are counted as passengers on our yachts.

Are pets allowed on board?As much as we love animals, pets are not allowed on board our yachts. This policy ensures the comfort and safety of all guests, as the environment on a boat can be stressful for pets. We appreciate your understanding.

Is gratuity included in the charter price?No, gratuity is not included. We suggest a minimum gratuity of 10% for the crew.

What is the minimum rental period for a boat in Miami?The shortest rental period for a boat in Miami is four hours. We offer both short and long term rentals. Whether you're planning a relaxed outing or an adventurous day, make sure to book accordingly to maximize your experience.

What happens if the weather is bad?In the event of inclement weather, we do not provide refunds. However, you will have the option to reschedule your charter for another day or time.

What is your cancellation policy?Cancellations must be made at least 7 days prior to your scheduled charter to receive a full refund. Cancellations made within less than 7 days of the charter are not eligible for a refund.

Are your yachts safe?Yes, all our vessels are equipped with life jackets, emergency kits, and first aid supplies. If you have any specific medical needs, please bring necessary medications with you.

What is the minimum age to rent a boat in Miami?To rent a boat in Miami, you must be at least 21 years old and have a valid ID or birth certificate. This requirement ensures that the person operating the boat is capable of handling it safely. Additionally, if there are passengers under 16 on board, they must be accompanied by an adult who is at least 21 years old.

What is the maximum capacity for a boat rental in Miami?When renting a boat in Miami, the maximum number of people allowed on board is 13, in accordance with Coast Guard regulations. It's important to adhere to these guidelines and any specific rules from the rental company to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience on the water.

Are the captains you recommend licensed?Yes, every captain on our list of recommendations is licensed for your safety and peace of mind.

Who pays for the captain?The charterer is responsible for paying the captain. You can choose a captain from the list we provide or hire your own.

Are your vessels insured?Yes, all our vessels are fully insured, ensuring your protection during your charter.

Are there any other rules I should be aware of?Yes, we follow all Florida boating laws and regulations, which include strict adherence to safety protocols, passenger limits, and alcohol consumption guidelines. It’s important to review these rules before your charter to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

Can I bring my own alcohol and food?Yes, you're welcome to bring your own food and alcohol on board.

Can I play my own music?Yes, all of our yachts come with a sound system that you can connect to via Bluetooth to enjoy your favorite music.

Do vessels have air conditioning?Yes, all our vessels are equipped with air conditioning in the interior areas, powered by onboard generators.

Can you provide food on board?Yes, we can provide hors d’oeuvres, sandwiches, and cocktails. For more elaborate meals, please make arrangements during the booking process.

Can I have a private chef on board?Absolutely! We can arrange either a private chef experience or for catering. You'll be able to check off this add-on option while filling out our online booking form.

Will my cell phone get a signal on board?Generally, you will have good cell reception while cruising in South Florida, though it may be weaker in remote areas. If you need to stay connected, inform the captain so they can plan the route accordingly.
